Delete your account

Delete it yourself, in the app

This is the fastest route and takes effect immediately:

• Open BookFrix and sign in
• Open your account menu (your avatar, in the sidebar)
• Choose Delete account
• Confirm — you will be asked to type DELETE so it cannot happen by accident

You are signed out straight away and your account no longer exists. There is no grace period and no undo.

If you cannot sign in, email info@frix.mefrom the address associated with your account, or tell us your Telegram username if you signed in that way. Include the words “account deletion” in the subject.

We will confirm your identity, delete the account, and reply to confirm. Requests are handled within 30 days and normally much sooner.

What is deleted

Everything below is removed permanently:

• Your account record — email, display name, profile picture, Telegram ID and username
• Every book you uploaded, and the covers extracted from them
• All reading progress, reading history and reading statistics
• All bookmarks, highlights, notes and annotations
• Your groups, categories and favourites
• Any share links you created (links you sent to others stop working)
• On the device you delete from: the offline copy of your library (downloaded books, progress and annotations kept for offline reading)

The book files themselves are removed from the server's storage by the periodic storage cleanup, once no other library uses the same file.

Reader preferences and the reading paths you saved are kept only on your devices, never on the server. They stay until you clear the app or site data, or uninstall the app. Signing out on its own does not remove the offline copy of your library from a device.

What is not deleted

• Books other people already added from your share links.Once someone has added a shared book to their own library, it is their copy. Deleting your account does not remove books from other people's libraries.
• Ordinary server logs. Technical logs (IP address, timestamp, requested address) are kept for a limited period for security and troubleshooting.
• Support requests. Conversations with our support desk are kept separately; email us if you want them deleted too.

Retention

There is no retention period for deleted accounts — the record is removed at the moment you confirm, not queued for later. Deletion cannot be reversed.

Removing the app is not the same thing

Uninstalling BookFrix removes the copy of your library stored on that device, but your account and your books stay on the server so you can sign in again elsewhere. Use the steps above if you want the account itself gone.
